Time Warped

Saw this today on my way home from school. I get the whole "Can't wait for Bush to not president any longer" implication. But shouldn't it read, "Is it 2009 yet?"

Because, the answer to the original question is, "Yes, yes it is 2008. And Bush is still president."

Guess that explains why this has been the ONLY bumper sticker I've seen of its kind.

It's questioning our progress as a culture/country/world and stating that the year 2008 should not be in the disarray that it is currently in.
Or so I think.

I thought that too. But the organization selling these bumper stickers clearly states that it's about the Bush Era.

And even if it had to do with the culture/country/disarray thing, my answer is still, "yes." Kind of assuming isn't it? What made them think 2008 was going to be so different?

In 1972, as mom may attest, they assumed there would flying cars, not Honda Insights.
Nevertheless, this is a shitty bumper sticker that either is misdated or requires too much thought for it to be a quick witty laugh.

If it's not too big of a trouble, I would appreciate a new update, seeing as I have searched every sorner of this internet, and I need a new way to procrastinate.
Thank you, and greatest luck in your future endeavors.

All political commentary aside, it speaks to the pure idiocy of the masses of American citizens. I mean I love this country, but for real NO ONE understands how this government works. I could go on, but I'll spare you...

I completely agree. Outlandish and uneducated political statements bug the hell out of me.
